FSX 2020 - Using 4K resolution

This article is designed to help users who are trying to use FSX 2020 in 4K. Recently, we have seen an increase in customers who would like to use the software with the highest resolution.

Setup

Before the software will display in 4K, there a couple of steps required. The first is to set the Windows Display resolution to 3840 × 2160 (4K). You can do this by following the steps below:

1. Select the Windows Start icon, type Change display settings and choose the top option.

2. Scroll down to Multiple Displays and select the Extend these displays option from the drop-down list (See Fig.1).

Once Windows is displaying in 4K, please load the FSX software and select the settings button. The button will open a menu where you can select Graphics Settings. In graphics settings, set the software to Windowed mode so the resolution can be adjusted and change this to the Windows resolution.
